Mr. T's Grocery and Deli began as a neighborhood grocery store in the late 1920's.  Not only did people come to the store to shop, but they could also call in their orders and have them delivered.  The store began it's metamorphasis into a restaurant under the ownership of the McGowan family in the1960's.  After several more owners, Mr. T's was still half grocery and half restaurant when it was purchased by Bob and Peggy Chandler in 1992.  The delicious food and family atmosphere brought customers from all over town to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  Today, under the ownership of Robert and Lisa Chandler, Mr. T's is still the best place in San Angelo to find homemade, old fashioned meals, freshly baked pies and desserts, and familiar, friendly faces.
